Harvest Carnival '07

Captain's Log, Stardate October 30, 2007:

So there's this thing going on where everyone dresses up really stupid or scary and eats lots of "candy" (whatever that is) and scares the poop out of all us little people. Well, not me of course. Mommie and Daddy dressed me up as a tiger and took me to Harvest Carnival with Meemaw, Grandma and Grandpa. I had lots of fun. Daddy took me outside to watch all the big kids on the big slide and bungee cord bouncy things. He said I was too little to play with them. Whatever! So then they gave me a balloon and I had a blast beating up Daddy with it and watching it float above my head. That was good times.

Moving on, my mouth is starting to hurt a little less. Another one of those "tooths" came in and I'm finding it easier to bite things. The food quality, variety and textures have improved greatly. I'm even getting pretty good at feeding myself. I grow stronger everyday and will soon be able to investigate and dismantle more of my surroundings. Overall this place isn't bad. I seem to have more power than originally calculated. Yesssss........

Pumpkin

So far it's been a rather uneventful month. He spent the last two weeks either teething or fighting off a cold. Fun times for Mommie. Enjoy! (and Happy Halloween...be on the look out for pictures soon!)

We heard there were a couple of pumpkin patches here in the Tri's. Unfortunately we didn't know there was a $6-$13 charge plus 19 cents a pound for the pumpkin to get in. We just wanted to take pictures. This was the closest we got to the pumpkin patch...big bins of pumpkins outside the country store. Beckett didn't seem to mind. He thought the pumpkins were cool!

Do you like plums?

Beckett, Grandma and I have been going to the Farmer's Market every Wed. for fresh fruit all summer long. Pam from Gilmore Farms has been our favorite for peaches, nectarines, donut peaches, apples and now plums. This rather long bit of footage is for Pam!

Do you like apples?

Not much to report since the last blog. Everyone seemed to like it...babies face planting bc Mommie pulled the pillow out of the way is very funny.

Moving on, Beckett got a new toy last week and Daddy had fun showing him all the bells and whistles...and playing.

Beckett finally discovers the kitty door.

It's finally apple season here in WA, my favorite time of year! I had cut up an apple for my snack when who would come along and insist on stealing a wedge??? You guessed it. Beckett just grabbed it out of my hand and started chewing on it while cruising the ottoman. He suddenly stopped and started jibber jabbering to me. I just happened to have the camera handy and caught his conversation in pictures. I can only assume he meant to tell me how much he enjoyed my apple. He then resumed gnawing on the apple. Good times.
