Hoppy Easter

Happy Belated Easter everyone! I hope it was as nice and low key as ours was. I've been a little under the weather this week so I apologize for the delay in getting these pics out. Enjoy!

Beckett loves to "garden". Brian is busy expanding our garden for this year and Beckett is contributing the best he can!

Beckett signs "Thank you" to Grandma at the CCC Easter Egg Hunt. Grandma helped us decorate a cupcake. Yum!

Beckett's first official egg hunt!

After the egg festivities we had lunch with Grandma and checked out the construction equipment behind the restaurant. Beckett loves all kinds of big machinery.

Racing Day

Last Sunday we decided to run the St. Patty's day 5K race along the Columbia River. Beckett competed (fiercely) in the kids 1 mile fun run. He spent most of his time playing with sticks but he got to run across the finish line with all the big kids.

Pre-race warmups

What a beautiful St. Patty's day!

Beckett starts near the back of the pack...

He paced himself really well

He's about to make his move...

His focus and determination are unmatched by the field

He pulls off a beautiful Rosie Ruiz move and gains some ground on the pack

Go Beckett!!! Nice kick

Our little champion

Mommie and Grandpa (The guy with green hair) finish off the 5k

Skateboarding (large video files!!)

First movie is of Beckett's freestyle ride, then Greg shows how it's done and I slowly follow...(my mellow was a little harshed that day, otherwise I would've bombed that hill)

Fifteen months

Captain's Log
Stardate March 11, 2008

I have successfully infiltrated the minds of the Mommie and Daddy and most other "big" people I come in contact with. I almost have their foreign dialect decoded and ready for translation. I have been able to imitate certain sounds but have not yet mastered the language. We have mostly been communicating through sign language and that seems to be working well. They understand "more", "bath", "brush teeth", "dirty", "kitty", "please", "juice", "owwie", and "water". We've also been working on "thank you" but I don't get why. I always get what I want.

Met with the dreaded Dr. L and Nurse Meaniehead yesterday. My vitals look good and I continue to grow into this skin. I'm a lean 23lbs and 31 1/2". Nurse M again injected me with some kind of truth serum...or at least that's my guess. It gets me special treatment from the Mommie for sure so I guess it's not all bad. Recent pictorial documentation follows.
