Weekend in Seattle

Seattle never fails to please. It was yet another stellar weekend and we tried to fill it with as much fun stuff as possible. Granted we were really there for Jason and Abbie's wedding at the Hotel Deca (sorry, no pics) but had to kill about 2 days before the big event. First stop? It was supposed to be the Monorail, but it was down for repairs. We opted to spend a good part of the day at the Seattle Center amusement park. The rides were a hit!

Pony ride with Mommie.

Optimus Prime didn't disappoint.

Or Bumblebee for that matter.

Woodland Park Zoo. Although the weather started out a little on the chilly side, the suns fierce power soon burned a few holes through the clouds and made for great animal viewing. These are just a few highlights.

Beckett views the gorillas.

Us.

Elephants.

Hippos.

Giraffes.

The road home was fraught with discomfort...
The Yakima River provided positive lunch time relief and distraction.
